Your Vote, Your Verdict
July 15, 2026
The ultimate way to step into your greatness is by exercising your right to vote. Let’s shape the future of Shelby County together.

Hey Sis,

We have talked about your roots, your confidence, your voice, your peace of mind, and your commitment to lifting others. Now, we have arrived at the ultimate step of your empowerment journey.

It’s time to talk about your power as a citizen. It’s time to talk about your vote.

Historically, our right to vote was not handed to us; it was fought for, suffered for, and won through the sheer grit and sacrifice of those who came before us. Yet, so often, we look at local judicial elections and think, “Does my vote really matter here? What does a General Sessions Judge even do?”

Let me break down why this specific race matters to your daily life.

The General Sessions Civil Court is often called "The People’s Court." It is the court that handles the everyday legal issues that affect real families: landlord-tenant disputes, contract disagreements, small claims, and emergency civil orders of protection. It is the place where ordinary citizens interact directly with the justice system.

The person sitting in that seat has an immense amount of power over the lives, livelihoods, and peace of mind of Shelby County residents. If that judge lacks empathy, experience, or patience, real people suffer.

That is why this election is so critical. Your vote is your verdict on the type of justice you want to see in your community.

It is easy to complain about a system that feels broken, distant, or unfair. But the power to change, improve, and protect that system is sitting right in your hands. When you step into that voting booth, you are claiming your seat at the table of power. You are deciding who gets to make the decisions that shape our county's future.

I am asking you to choose experience. I am asking you to choose a proven track record.

For nearly ten years, I have served as a Magistrate in Shelby County. I have navigated the complexities of our legal system, ruled with fairness and diligence, and treated every individual who has walked into my courtroom with the utmost respect. I don't need on-the-job training. I am ready to step onto the General Sessions Civil Court bench on Day One and serve with honor, efficiency, and excellence.

But I cannot get there without you.

Stepping into your greatness means taking responsibility for your community. It means making sure that you, your family, your friends, and your neighbors show up at the polls. It means refusing to let others decide who will preside over your courts.

Let’s make our voices heard. Let’s show Shelby County that we are prepared, we are organized, and we are ready for principled leadership.

The verdict is in your hands, sis. Let’s claim our greatness together.

Mentor Tip: Make a voting plan right now. Write down the exact day, time, and location where you will go cast your ballot. Then, text three friends and make sure they have a plan, too!

I am so incredibly grateful for your support, your energy, and your commitment to our community. Let’s win this together!
